Here’s why I decided to become sitter
There was always a tail wagging somewhere in the house — a warm, watchful presence curled up beside me after school, or a gentle nudge on my leg when the world felt too loud. Growing up, dogs were my source of comfort, safety, and companionship. They didn’t just fill the house — they filled my life with love.
As I got older, I realized that my bond with dogs wasn’t something everyone shared in the same way. For me, it’s always been deeper. Dogs are family. They feel your energy, they sit with you in silence when you need it most, and they love you with a loyalty that words rarely capture. That connection has stayed with me throughout every season of life — through motherhood, marriage, and even moments of grief.
My husband and I bonded early on over our mutual love for animals. We both grew up in households where pets weren’t just present — they were part of the family. When we started our own family, it felt only natural to raise our kids in a home surrounded by paws and playful barking.

Over the years, we’ve welcomed many pets into our lives, but one in particular — Coco, my Cocker Spaniel — carved a special place in my heart. He’s been with me through big life transitions and quiet everyday moments, always reminding me why I feel so deeply called to care for animals.
When Coco and I were separated for nearly a year, it was one of the hardest seasons of my life. But I did everything I could — paperwork, petitions, waiting with hope — to bring him home. That reunion reminded me of the unshakable bond between humans and their dogs. It also reminded me that many pet parents live with that same level of love and commitment — and deserve to feel truly supported when they need help caring for their pets.
That’s when I began reflecting more seriously on the idea of pet sitting — not just as a service, but as a calling.
Over the years, I’d tried several dog sitters for Coco, and while many were kind and well-intentioned, something always felt… incomplete. There was plenty of care, yes — feeding, walks, maybe even updates. But what I missed most was the sense of partnership. Real communication. Someone who didn’t just look after my dog, but connected with me, understood my concerns, and embraced my pet as part of their own home — not as a temporary guest.
That’s what was missing — and that’s what I set out to offer.
Today, I welcome dogs into my home not as clients, but as temporary family. They aren’t kept in crates or isolated in spare rooms — they live among us. They nap on the same cushions as my kids, play in our backyard, and receive the kind of attention and comfort I would want for my own Coco. Every dog that stays here is seen, heard, and loved.
But beyond the dogs, I’m here for the humans too.
I know how hard it can be to leave your pet — even for a day. You want to feel reassured, updated, and emotionally connected to the person caring for your best friend. That’s why I prioritize clear communication, genuine updates, and creating an experience that feels safe and personal.
Because I’m not just a dog sitter — I’m a dog mom first. And I believe every pet owner deserves to feel like their dog is not just cared for, but truly loved while they’re away.
If you’re looking for someone who understands the emotional weight of leaving your dog behind, who will treat your pup like their own, and who knows from experience what peace of mind really feels like — I’d be honored to support you.
Welcome to my home; Welcome to our pack 🐾
