FAQ’s
If you’re looking for answers to common dog boarding questions in Miami, you’re in the right place! At Lulu Pet Care®., we know that leaving your furry family member in someone else’s care can bring up a lot of concerns — and we’re here to help. Below you’ll find everything you need to know about our services, pajamadas, safety policies, and what to expect before and during your dog’s stay.
General Services
Absolutely! We invite dog parents to visit, meet our team, and see where your pup will stay and play. Tours are by appointment or during off-peak hours to minimize canine distraction.
We don’t provide formal training programs. However, we’re happy to reinforce the commands your dog already knows and use positive, reward-based methods to encourage good behavior during their stay. Our goal is to create a calm, structured environment that supports your dog’s learning and confidence—even if we’re not doing the teaching ourselves. Explore each service and see whats included here
You can request a book with me or messaging +1‑305‑548‑1077. We recommend making reservations ahead of time, especially during holidays or weekends, to ensure availability. Flexible pick-up and drop-off slots are available to fit busy schedules.
Please notify us immediately. For the health of all pets in our care, we cannot accept dogs showing signs of illness (vomiting, diarrhea, coughing, etc.). We’ll happily work with you to reschedule.
We ask that all pet parents complete our check-in form thoroughly. This includes details on your dog’s daily routine, medical needs, feeding schedule, behavior notes, and emergency contacts. The more we know, the better we can tailor their care to feel just like home.
Safety Requirements
Yes. For everyone’s safety, pet owners are required to disclose any history of aggressive behavior, fear-based behaviors, bite incidents, anxiety triggers, medical conditions, or any other relevant behavioral or health concerns before booking. No matter how small your pet is. Failure to provide accurate information may result in cancellation of services without refund. Transparency allows us to provide the best care possible and ensures a safe, stress-free experience for every pup in our home, hence transparency is crucial.
For the safety and comfort of all our guests, we do not accept dogs recovering from recent surgery, major illness, or those requiring medical supervision. Our environment is designed for fully mobile, social pups who can freely interact and play. Recovery care often requires a quiet, isolated setting and professional veterinary oversight—something best provided in a dedicated medical or rehabilitation facility. If your dog needs help during recovery, we recommend your trusted veterinary partner.
We specialize in caring for small to medium-sized dogs, currently welcoming pups that weigh between 0 and 55 pounds. This size range allows us to maintain a safe, calm, and balanced environment where all dogs can play freely and comfortably in our home. Focusing on similar-sized companions helps reduce mismatched play styles and ensures every guest receives the right care and attention.
No, we don’t require a formal temperament test. We welcome all friendly pups and get to know each dog naturally during their first stay. Our small group size and home setting allow us to give each dog individual attention and help them feel safe and supported. If we notice any signs of discomfort or stress, we’ll adjust their experience and communicate openly with you.
For socialization safety and hygiene, dogs older than 6 months must be spayed or neutered to join group play. Allowances may apply for puppies under 6 months.
Your dog must be up-to-date with mandatory vaccinations determined by Animal Services Authorities, ideally within the last 10 days. Proof of vaccination is required at check-in.
Day-to-Day Care & Environment
Yes—bring pre-measured food and labeled medication; we’ll follow your instructions. We also accommodate supplemental diets when needed, served in a calm and separate space.
We don’t use rigid groups—our home-style setup allows all pups to enjoy a free-range environment together, just like a big family. Because we only host a limited number of dogs at a time, we’re able to carefully monitor play and gently guide interactions based on each dog’s age, energy, and comfort level. It’s a safe, supervised space where every pup can feel at home.
Since our facility is an in-home environment where all dogs are part of the family, cleanliness is a top priority. We follow strict daily cleaning routines—sanitizing all play and rest areas thoroughly and washing bedding between each stay—to ensure a healthy, comfortable, and hygienic space for every family member and pup.
Our home setting includes secure fencing and monitored supervision. During play, dogs never go unsupervised, and we immediately separate pups showing stress or overstimulation.
Because our guests stay right in our home, they receive the same kind of attentive care they’d get from their own family. If we hear a noise, sense something unusual, or notice a pup feeling scared or crying, we get up to check on them—just like you would. Every detail, from their bedtime routine to any nighttime checks, is included in their daily report so you know exactly how they did overnight.
You’re welcome to bring a bed, familiar blanket, or toy, labeled with your pet’s name. However, we discourage fragile or sentimental items.
Because each dog’s routine matters, we collect important details during check-in—like feeding times, walking habits, or special needs—so your dog’s individual routine is followed closely. Your pup enjoys a structured, enriching day in a cage-free, home-style environment including free play, outdoor time, positive reinforcement of basic commands, cozy rest breaks, and lots of love. You’ll receive daily updates with photos or videos and a personalized departure report.
Our caregivers maintain a low ratio (no more than 2–4 dogs per person) and are trained in canine behavior and positive reinforcement methods.

Health & Emergencies
Yes — we’re happy to assist with oral medications as part of your dog’s care routine. Just let us know the dosage, schedule, and any special instructions during check-in. While we do not administer injections or other medical treatments, we’re experienced in making pill time as stress-free as possible for your pup. Your dog’s health and comfort are always a priority.
Our staff is trained to recognize early signs of illness or injury and will notify you immediately if any concerns arise. To be prepared for any situation, our check-in form also captures an emergency contact in addition to the pet owner’s information, so we have multiple ways to reach someone quickly. Rest assured, emergency protocols are always in place to keep your pup safe and comfortable.

Currently, we accept cash and Zelle for all services. We find these options simple and secure for both our clients and us. If you have any questions about payment or need assistance, just let us know—we’re happy to help!
